Pray More, Worry Less

“Don’t you worry my child, you see heavens got a plan for you.”

Recently, I purchased a breathtaking devotional Devote 365 and it never fails to amaze me just how much it relates to my everyday walk with God. Let’s be honest, we all need an extra push and a more meaningful pep in our step every now and then, to help keep us going. Being an avid bookworm, and writer, I can’t help but to check out a few extra faith books at the library, a few extra journals to write to God in, invest my time in some more prayer, and just plain out reaching out to God as if it were my last day.

I’d be lying if I said after being saved, every problem, trial, and test just magically disappear. Because let’s be honest, they don’t. But let’s also not get confused, because turning your life over to Christ will indeed put to death a vast number of problems, sin, circumstances, your way of thinking, your behavior, bad habits, and I can go on. Jesus Christ is truly indeed the ultimate source to a changed life, we practically become new creatures in him alone. But there does come times where trials approach us, and those worry monsters storm in our lives like hurricanes. We begin to doubt God, and lose all hope. But I’m here to tell you today, to not give up. Because when you are weak, he is strong. God’s got your back, and it’s no longer your job to worry about whether he will supply for you and if he’s there, because he will and he is. Today, I want to encourage you to allow for God’s Word on why you have no reason to worry to deeply rest in your hearts and minds today. I pray that that send alleviation and comfort your way today. So, here you go:

“But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.” – Matthew 6:6

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” – Jeremiah 33:3

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” – I Peter 3:7

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” – John 14:27

“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” – Psalms 55:22

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” – Luke 1:37
